“Café Lights” is inspired by the way sunlight beams through the windows of cozy independent coffee houses in the DC area. The model, a friend of the artist, soaks in the warmth of the sun and the comforting smell of roasted coffee beans. This oil painting on sturdy canvas paper was created by overlapping rays of sunshine from a reference photo. Original (8.5 W x 11.5 H in) is available. Prints of different sizes are also available HERE in excellent quality that reflects the texture and vibrancy of the original colors.
